I saw your slide show and loved it. In your message you say ......World Cup the topic of the moment! Well, at least here in Brazil... But, letme tell you..... not only in Brazil....in Venezuela we love soccer, tooand Brazil has always been our favorite team. Everywhere in Venezuela you can see Brazil's colors and Ronaldhino's T-shirt!
Here http://www.bubbleshare.com/album/39807.9d53efcb405 you can see a slide show of what happened that day in our university!What amazes me is that Brazil is a world favorite team and that when wewere watching the game, millions of people were watching too and that the passion, feelings, fears, or even anger was been felt by millions ofpeople at the same time... a shout in Venezuela was a shout in Brazil and the rest of the world. And that everybody cried, smile, joke indifferent languages but the feeling was universal.... only soccer can connect some many people from different cultures, religions, backgrounds....
Another curious thing about the world cup ......I was telling my students the other day that in a match one team was from Germany, theother team from Costa Rica, and the referee was from Brazil....everybody was communicating through English.
English comes to connectpeople like communities of practice.Well, keep on shining! and a warm hug for everybody. Keep on doing what we do best! Shine!

What a wonderful slide show! Not only was it fun to watch, but it made it very clear how much support for the Brasileiros there is in Venezuela.
